Token PRint Ad 1

This ad, and the following two ads, were done for tech-startup Token. These ads were done as part of a final project where we had to work with a client to create a creative brief, rationale, and 3 ads that they could use in a campaign.

The goal of this ad was to illustrate the point that this will be the last ring the reader would need.

For this ad, I wanted to focus on the intrinsic motivators of “independence” and “consistency”.

I did this by using the central plot point from Lord of the Rings as a headline, as well as creating a situation based on a series of problems that the Token Ring would solve.

The goal of this ad was to highlight the Token Ring’s “knock to unlock” feature.

With that in mind, I decided to use the classic “knock-knock joke” for the headline and also to set up the body copy.

For the body copy I wanted to focus on the intrinsic motivator of “security”. This was extremely important as consumers are very skeptical if whether or not their personal data is safe.

The intrinsic motivator I focused on with this Instagram ad was “novelty”.

The headline encourages the viewer to stray away from their normal routine and experience their city in a new way with the Token Ring.

The caption of the photo also lends a hand in getting engagement from the viewers. Encouraging them to to comment and share photos of the locations they are using the Token Ring.

I had a lot of fun with this project. I was able to use my background in sneaker photography to create the image for this ad.

For this ad, I went with a fact-based approach. A fun fact that I learned about Chuck Taylor’s is that a pair of them is sold every 45 seconds.
